Governor’s IT Education Policy
During his visit, Professor Kroszner saw the IT marquee and appreciated the ongoing programs under the leadership of the Governor. These were the “Umeed ki Ghanti” or Bell of Hope initiative and a ration distribution campaign aimed at supporting underprivileged communities. He appreciated such humanitarian efforts and was enthusiastic about teaching young talent in Sindh.
He made notable strides in enhancing the area of IT education through several of his initiatives. One of them has been subsidizing the cost of certification at Google for the students. In productive talks held in Islamabad with the Google representative, an agreement was achieved where these certifications are available for the students once they have passed the set tests.
This collaboration between an acclaimed academician and the administration of Sindh is a promising step toward improving IT education and opening up new opportunities for local students.
