Samsung Galaxy S26

The Samsung Galaxy S26 combines a compact 6.3-inch flagship display with a lightweight 167g body, 12GB RAM, up to 512GB storage, a 50MP triple-camera system and a 4300mAh battery. Its combination of Galaxy AI, flagship processing, 120Hz AMOLED display, 5G, Wi-Fi 7 and IP68 protection makes it a full-featured flagship smartphone.

The Galaxy S26 features a 6.3-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with an FHD+ resolution of 2340 × 1080 pixels. Its adaptive refresh rate can reach 120Hz, providing smoother scrolling, animations and gaming. Samsung also lists peak brightness of up to 2600 nits for the S26 display.

Samsung has given the Galaxy S26 a slim and lightweight flagship design. The phone measures only 7.2mm thick and weighs 167g. It uses an Armor Aluminum frame and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability. The redesigned ambient camera island gives the rear camera system a more unified appearance.

50MP Main Camera

The 50MP wide camera features an F1.8 aperture, autofocus and optical image stabilization. It also supports 2x optical-quality zoom through Samsung’s Adaptive Pixel technology.

10MP Telephoto Camera

The dedicated 10MP telephoto camera provides 3x optical zoom, making it useful for portraits and distant subjects. Digital zoom is available up to 30x.

12MP Ultra-Wide Camera

The 12MP ultra-wide camera has an F2.2 aperture and is designed for landscapes, architecture and group photographs.

12MP Selfie Camera

A 12MP front camera with an F2.2 aperture is used for selfies and video calls. Samsung also lists autofocus for the front camera.

Video Recording

The Galaxy S26 supports video recording up to 8K at 30fps. It also supports slow-motion recording at up to 240fps in FHD and 120fps in FHD/UHD modes. Samsung’s improved processing also enables enhanced low-light video through Nightography features.

The Galaxy S26 packs a 4300mAh typical battery. Samsung rates it for up to 30 hours of video playback, although actual battery life depends on usage, network conditions, settings and other factors.

The phone supports wired fast charging of up to 55% in around 30 minutes when used with a compatible 25W adapter and USB-C cable. Wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare are also supported.

Galaxy AI

Galaxy S26 comes with Samsung’s latest Galaxy AI features. These include AI-powered photo editing through Photo Assist and enhanced image and video processing. Samsung also highlights improved Nightography video processing for reducing noise and improving detail in low-light footage.

Water and Dust Resistance

The Galaxy S26 has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Samsung states that its testing covers submersion in up to 1.5 meters of freshwater for up to 30 minutes under laboratory conditions. Water resistance can decrease with normal wear over time.
