Satellite connectivity and charging features
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra confirms satellite connectivity but is expected to be limited in China. The technology draws on the Tiantong satellite system operated by China Telecom, which provides coverage mainly within China, as well as parts of its immediate surroundings, including the Indian and Pacific Oceans.
In terms of charging capabilities, Xiaomi has retained its reliable 90W wired charging for the 15 Ultra, consistent with the charging speeds offered by its predecessors, its 13 Ultra and 14 Ultra. While this doesn’t break new ground, it reinforces Xiaomi’s focus on delivering fast and dependable charging solutions.
Expected Launch Timeline
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is supposed to hit stores in the first quarter of 2025. Similarly, while the 13 Ultra appeared at MWC 2023 in February, there is a reason to believe that Xiaomi will have MWC 2025 from March 3 to 6 serve as a launch platform.
