Apple’s Long-rumored HomeOS may be Launched in 2025

Apple plans to launch a new operating system called HomeOS to work with its long-rumored smart displays, the first of which is expected to debut in 2025.Rumors of a HomePod-like display device have been around for more than a year. This summer, reports surfaced that Apple was developing a device that combined an iPad with a robotic arm, with a display that could perform various rotations and tilts. The media called it a “desktop robot.”

The latest report shows that Apple is developing two versions: a low-end smart display that provides basic functions such as FaceTime and smart home control; a high-end robot version is expected to be launched in 2026, priced at more than $1,000(280,000 PKR), and mainly used for video conferencing. It can understand various commands through Siri and Apple’s smart functions.

According to previous reports, the project is led by Kevin Lynch, vice president of technology, who was previously the head of Apple’s automotive and health software engineering projects. Currently, there is a team of hundreds of people focusing on the development of the device
